I think if you are interested in any way shape or form in the fashion industry you've thought about being a designer. One company 1154 Lill lets you do just that with their handbags. You can either customize your bag online or find a local lill rep who can come to your home and you and your friends can all design together. They have some amazing fabrics and bags in all shapes and sizes. Here are some of my favorites:

Dreaming of Life at Sea

Well, not really since I get very sea sick...but a life looking at the sea and living that Maine lifestyle just seems so summery and dreamy. And I have found just the bag I want to carry with me. Just looking at their blog and website sends my mind spinning with thoughts of eating lobster at the Lobster Shack on Cape Elisabeth, shopping in downtown Portland (how I missed this store is a mystery!!), picking fresh berries, and admiring beautiful flowers that we don't have here in the desert.

My happy place

Who doesn't love weddings?? I loved planning mine, there isn't a single thing I would have done differently. Everything was perfect...but things in the wedding industry have drastically changed in the 8 years since I have been married. Not that I want to change whom I am married to but wouldn't it be nice if you could throw a lavish ceremony every 10 years or so?? I get inspired by Snippet & Ink. Not only does it make me want to throw all types of themed weddings, but it inspires me to mix and match different colors together, take my photos from different angles, produce over the top dinner parties,  and her inspiration boards just put me in a frenzy!!

I want to host a dinner party with these.

I must have this now. I want everything on this table. Hopefully my next dinner party will look somewhat similar. And then after the party I might just leave it all set up so I can admire it each and every day. 

I would probably need a ton of these to even think about covering my dining room table.

When was the last time you...

Checked out Land's End? I know it is usually so far from being "fashionable", but due to this horrible economy I have set foot in stores that I once wouldn't let even come out of my mouth. Between having kids and being on a fashion "budget" I have learned to appreciate beauty without a label. Wow, I really just wrote that. Don't get me wrong I still love high fashion but my wallet and my husband do not!! So back to Land's End and their new concept "Canvas" here are a few of my favorite pieces/looks:

Do you think you get passed that this is a Lands End product? I think I can and am tempted to order something just to test out the quality.  I've read that several outdoor clothing companies are looking to reach a younger, hipper market.  L.L Bean is trying something like this for Spring 2010 and I am extremely anxious to see it. 

So the lesson today is: don't judge a book by it's cover...you may be pleasantly surprised at its contents!
